Help! I want to go online shopping!!

So, I have very few regrets relocating back to Manila after an 8-year stint working in Singapore, and right now, this is probably the only one I can think of. I’m seriously in love with Julia Graf’s Victoria Secret look. You can see it here in her Instagram: http://instagram.com/p/wtsbPLGtd5/?modal=true

Sorry, but I’m not yoinking another person’s photo to post on my blog just because I’m obsessed with the look. Anyway, this is a look she did with mostly BH Cosmetics products and I really really REALLY want this whole set like omfgwtfwhatiswrongwithme!! I can’t get over it and I seriously want to go to town with my credit card right now.

Sooper Skeen Shine Bright Like a Diamond organic skin care set

Since i returned to Manila last year, my skin has pretty much gone haywire from the pollution. Apart from that, the Peso value of many skincare brands I used to patronize when I was in Singapore have been so off-putting. Three digit Peso values make it look so expensive! When I started running out of the moisturizer and toner I used (I was using Japanese brand, Hada Labo for toning, and a plethora of different moisturizers from Shu Uemura, Lancome and L’Oreal for moisturizing), I knew it was time to switch to local brands.

Makeup Porn + Some personal stuff

So, I thought since I put together this collage for my friend, Trisha, I may as well post it on my blog.

I had a field day with Amazon and Sugarpill Cosmetics sites during Black Friday, when the sales were just phenomenal. Trish also helped me order a couple awesome-sauce new stuff from Too Faced and Tarte, and since I’m watching Law and Order reruns, I’m short of words and would really prefer if you just looked at the pretty pictures:

Makeup Orgasm, I swear.

That’s a lot of makeup, and I have individual photos – sort of. These are all taken from my phone, but I still must say, the quality is pretty good and just the sight of all my pretty new lovelies and that makes me so happy already! ❤

I'm hooked on these super colorful Sugarpill Cosmetics palettes! They're so beautifully bright and the tutorials available on these palettes are amazing stuff.

I missed picking up this palette in last year's holiday season and it's so beautiful!

OK, back to how beautiful this palette is, would you just look at this awesome cover? It's gorgeous!

I will wholeheartedly confess to buying this set because Trisha bought it and I was jealous.

Did you think i would settle just getting the set? of course not! I bought an extra blush, and the LipSurgence set (again because I was jealous of Trisha's purchase).

I think this is the crowning glory of my purchases. I LOVE this collection and cannot wait to try each one of those blushes, highlights or bronzers!

Can you believe how awesome these stuff are? I’m going to be trying them out the whole of next week and I can’t wait to post looks I’ve done with these!

So besides those purchases, I’m considering picking up the L’Oreal True Match Lucent Foundation, because… umm, do I really need a reason to pick up a new foundation? 🙂 I also saw that the Revlon Just Bitten jumbo lip pencils are out in a limited number of shades, so I’ll be sure to pick up at least 1. I think I probably need a new concealer as well, a liquid one preferably, because even the ultra creamy Benefit Erase Paste has been caking on my hyper-sensitive and very crepe-y eyebags.

Now, Trish told me Drugstore.com is on 20% off, but I don’t know if I can handle the cost of forwarding the shipping again. It’s just awful. Buying all these awesome stuff wasn’t so bad, but the shipping was a complete rip-off, especially the one for the Sephora purchase (that was the Tarte Carried Away set, and the In The Glow set). I’m still thinking if maybe I really can do another haul from Drugstore.com. If my shipping comes up to less than $30, I might consider it.

And now some personal stuff:

So my boyfriend is coming over for Christmas *woot woot*! I don’t think anyone realizes how difficult a long distance relationship is until they’re in it themselves. This is particularly difficult for me, because my boyfriend and I have been living together for almost two years before he had settled to fly back to Manila. Now I know I’m flying back soon myself, but it’s a little difficult certain times, especially since I don’t have a lot of friends and those few that I do are co-workers who I suppose probably don’t really wanna see me outside of office 🙂

Anyway, enough rambling about that. I’m just excited that my boyfriend’s gonna be here soon! And I’m equally excited to try all of those goodies posted above. Wish me luck on sitting on my hands coz I’m pretty sure I might just pick up some stuff on Drugstore.com’s sale.

Hello bag, please come home with me!

I can’t help it. I’m not just a bikini addict. I’m a shoe- and bag addict too! I usually buy my bags and shoes on the spring collection, when Pedro and Charles and Keith (my top two!) would release colorful and cheerful designs. I like my accessories with a great pop of color, because my clothes are all nude and brown and black or rose-colored. The spring collection’s all gone, and I’ve cherry-picked my favorites already, but surprisingly, this year, there are some really stellar selections from the tail-end of the summer and the start of fall collections. I don’t usually like these, because they’re boring and drab, like the colors I pick for my outfits, but this year, they’re really good.

I’ve picked up a shell-clasped handbag and a pair of stiletto sandals, but I’m still wanting for one more:

C&K Satchel bag, modeled after the Mulberry Alexa or some other name brand bag that I'm not particularly interested in.

I saw this already at the store in ION, and had it in my hand already, when this lady walked in with the exact same bag. Now, I know when a bag looks good on me and this one did, but looking at how it looked on the other lady, who by the way, was wearing black trainers, looked slightly disheveled, and wore ugly ill-fitting clothes, I put the bag back on the rack and picked out another.

And now I utterly regret that decision D:

Tomorrow, I must find this bag back at the branch near my office or I’m totally going to embark on a country-wide search for it. Come on bag, I need you to come home with me!!

What I do with my 345467687 bikinis

There’s no going around it: I have dozens of pairs of bikinis lying around the house waiting to be worn. And I’m still buying (drat, Soak Swimwear is going to be at another Rockwell Bazaar, and I expect by the time that’s over, there may not be enough of the nice bikinis for me to buy online D: ) I’ve sold quite a bit of what I bought on the worst shopping spree I’ve ever been on (that was last year, after I came back from Cebu), but there’s still maybe 50 pairs in my closet, and another 10 or so packed away for when we move house at the end of the month.

Anyway, what to do with these bikinis while I’m still buying more? Here’s my run down:

  1. Use the bikinis as normal underwear. I do this often, especially when I’m out biking. The problem with this is that tie-back bandeaus don’t work well in biking jerseys (the knot at the back is supremely ugly bunching up against the jersey!) About 3/4 of my collection are bandeaus, so I get to use the 5 or so string bikinis I have for this.
  2. Rent them out during parties, then sell the rented pieces to its wearers :p lulz, I’m not wearing those back after other people have worn them.
  3. Swim more often, damn it!

We have a pool on our front yard and when we move, it’s going to be to a condo that also has a pool. I just need to get off my ass to do this. For serious. I hope the sun goes out soon so I can loll around the pool.

Cheers ^___^
